Today is the second last day of the trip as we head back to LAX

The aim today is just to get within striking distance of Los Angeles so we can organise to get the car back late in the evening and catch the plane out at midnight. So there is no real pressure to hurry anything.
Yesterday we passed the Valle Aircraft Museum on our excursion so as we have to pass it again we decide to drop in for “a quick look”. It is actually in pristine condition inside ... and we can’t help but wonder how it can be maintained like this until we learn that it is one of three sites belonging to the Chino Air Museum in Los Angeles. We decide that we will drop in tomorrow at the main headquarters in Chino after staying nearby overnight. It’s as good a plan as any. Mark takes about 1000 photos in the museum before we leave but it’s not really my thing for photography.
We grab a quick bite to eat for lunch in the middle of nowhere and continue on.
The only other stop we make is at Lake Havasu where the old London Bridge has been reassembled as a tourist attraction. Because of the time of the year nothing is open around it so it too is a short stop.
From there on in it is the normal freeway nightmare to Chino where we finally get settled in a Best Western for our last night. Everything will need to be repacked for the aeroplane flight as it has been expanded to fit the cars we have been driving and now needs to all go back into one suitcase.
I get the feeling a few things may be left behind ...
