The day dawns as dreary, wet and cold as the previous so we are not anxious to venture out too quickly.

Today is housekeeping day when the landlady changes all the linen etc., which happens at 10am, so a liesurely breakfast is decided upon while we wait for her to arrive. The weather relents microscopically so we decide to go for a quick drive around the immediate vicinity and call into the "local store", which more resembles somebody's garage in size and appearance, for a few provisions. Nothing improves all that much by the time we get to Dunvegan Headland so it is a few quick shots through the side window of the car as none of us are keen on getting out into the sub-zero rain.

So it's back to the cottage for lunch of a nice warming soup. The afternoon is spent on indoor activities, Rosemary is cooking in between her embroidery, Digby is drawing and painting while I concentrate on taking some photos of the shells and other items Rosemary has collected on previous "good weather days".

The view out the window doesn't improve in terms of venturing out but provides an opportunity for some semi-abstract photos.

We phone our tour guide for Monday's excursion to discuss the prospect of improving weather but his schedule is booked for other days so it will be "pot luck" when the day arrives. It will be another evening of food, drink, reading, and enjoying good company ... not at all bad.
