It was mid-day before I got out and about today …
A couple of loads of clothes washing and drying were called for while I have access to a washing machine and dryer.
Sky was bright blue with some puffy clouds but the temperature was still about 5 deg. C at 1pm.
I decided to drive down by Lock Morlich as it’s the nearest loch with any sort of a view.
I’m quite sure that the photos I have taken just can’t do it justice … not the loch itself but the mountains behind it.

The view is panoramic … there is no way to single out any single direction to take a conventional photo.

So eventually I decide that a giant panorama is the only way to go … this should print out at about 2 metres long!!

I continue on to Cairn Gorm and it becomes obvious that there has been significant snow overnight in this part of the world!
Most things are covered with at least 25mm of snow and it’s about 3pm already.
Even the well-trodden paths are still covered with snow.
Most of the tracks lead to the ski-lifts which surprise, surprise are operating !
It’s still below 0 deg C anywhere out of the sun and the wind chill makes sure it feels like it.
But it’s not enough to prevent me wandering about snapping away at details that catch my eye.

It’s obvious that there has been quite a bit of snow hanging around up here,
And the snow fences have been suffering during the winter.

So I’ve had some snow, not quite where and as I hoped it would be, but I have to stop complaining …
